I moved to the Netherlands about 10 years ago to and it’s been around that time that I got into contact with mindfulness. It has since been a beautiful journey and it has become a vital part in my personal live as well as in my work. So I decided to become a mindfulness trainer as well as researching the effects of meditation at University.
For me an important part of mindfulness is regaining the connection between the body and the mind. Becoming aware of ourselves and getting out of our heads (although, I actually do research on the brain 😊), and back into life. Mindfulness helped me to rediscover my inner skills to be with stress differently and it helps to stay aware of what is really important.
