Marta Alonso is Clinical Psychologist specialized in mindfulness and compassion treatments. 3 year-long Specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy by the Sociedad Española de Psicopatología y Psicoterapia del Niño y el Adolescente. Member of the International Advisory Council and the Executive Board of the Center For MSC. MFY Teacher Trainer and MSC Teacher Trainer and Mentor, completed the MSC teacher training itinerary in Massachusetts in its first edition, and being the first certified teacher in Spanish language. She has taught nearly 50 editions of the MSC program which she introduced together with Dr. Vicente Simón in Spain, being pioneers in taking compassion programs in the Hispanic world and Iberoamerica.
She has directed numerous silent retreats on practice of mindfulness, compassion and the 4 Immeasurables in the last 10 years and is a teacher of mindfulness and compassion in clinical practice in the main Spanish universities. She is a founding member of the Spanish Association of Mindfulness and Compassion and has been its president until 2017. She is one of the co-authors of “Mindfulness en la Práctica Clínica” and produced with Dr. Simón the bestsellers CD-books: “Mindfulness y Autocompasión”.
