Mindfulness & Sound meditation
Sound and silence lay close together. In fact, our attention for sound leads us towards silence. In this workshop you can experience that directly and thus deepen your mindfulness. Sound meditation is a meditative voice exercise from dhrupad, the oldest form of North Indian classical music. This exercise, called kharaj, focuses on singing different vowels and pitches, holding these for a longer period of time, to then end the meditation in silence. Mindfulness exercises, like (guided) meditations and contemplation, help you to deepen the experience, so that you eventually sit in silence as never before. In this silence you find the rest and space you need to be actually present in the moment.
